Towanda Girls Soccer Team Holds Annual Pink Game

The Towanda Girls soccer team held their annual pink game on Tuesday October 7th. At halftime the players released pink balloons and several raffles were held. A portion of the activities were planned by Taylor Hallabuck and Courtney Locke as their graduation project. The girls defeated Williamson 4-0. Photo by Brian Fees.

As a part of the Girls Soccer team's pink game, Towanda graduate and former soccer player Ashley Fleming released a purple balloon in memory of her sister Tiffany.

Black Knight Football Team Celebrates 500th Win

With their 41-14 win on Saturday over the Athens Wildcats, the Towanda football program achieved it's 500th win. Congratulations to all current and former players/coaches on this major accomplishment.

Hannah Innocenzo Wins 2014 OYW

Congratulations to Hannah Innocenzo on winning the 2014 Outstanding Young Woman competion.

Students Design and Build Bridges

Mr. Sayre's Drafting I class recently completed their "Structural Analysis Paper Bridge Design Challenge". The winners of the challenge were Bobby Farley and Joe Garris. The bridge they designed and built held 13 lbs (6,000 grams) which is shown in the picture below. Back in the classroom, the bridge held 15 lbs of books, before giving way.

Nick Innocenzo Wins District IV Golf Championship

Congratulations to Nick Innocenzo on winning the District IV Boys Individual Championship. Nick will be at the East Region Tournament at Golden Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday October 14th. Good Luck Nick!!!

Towanda Students Attend Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week!

This past summer, six Towanda Jr/Sr High School Students attended the Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW) program hosted at Lycoming College in Williamsport. PFEW is a one-of-a-kind summer program that offers in-coming high school juniors and seniors a unique and challenging opportunity to see what it is like to run their own business.

Lt. Governor Visits Football Team

We had a surprise visit from Pa Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley Friday morning. He specifically asked to speak to the football team in order to wish them luck on their upcoming season.

Volleyball Game

Towanda JV and Varsity Volleyball will travel to Holy Redeemer for a 3PM start game with Central Dauphin on Aug. 20th.

Towanda Junior/Senior High School Seventh Grade and New Student Orientation

Seventh Grade & New Student Orientation will be held in the Towanda Junior/Senior High School Auditorium on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

Seventh grade and new students will receive their schedules and learn valuable information about high school life. Students and parents will have the opportunity to tour the school and meet high school administrators and personnel.

All seventh graders and their parents are urged by the school administration to attend. Any students new to the school are also invited.
