The intent of this communication is to notify our school community of some recent Covid-19 situations involving district personnel.

On January 29, 2021, we were notified that a van driver for the district has tested positive for COVID-19. The last day this individual drove students was Monday, January 25, 2021. Potential close contacts have been identified and informed to not return to school until approved to do so based on CDC and DOH quarantine guidelines. With the nature of this person’s position, they do not count towards cases in any of our individual buildings.

Also, today we were notified that two support staff members at Towanda Jr/Sr High School have tested positive. The last day the first individual was in school was on Friday, January 22. The last day in school for the second individual was Monday, January 25. Due to the physical distancing protocols in place, no close contacts have been identified at this time with these two individuals.

On January 28, 2021, we were notified that a support staff member at J. Andrew Morrow Primary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The last day this individual was in school was Monday, January 25, 2021. Based on the physical distancing protocols in place, no close contacts have been identified at this time.

The intent of this communication is to notify our school community of a recent Covid-19 situation involving two students at the Jr/Sr High School.

This morning, January 25, 2021, we were notified that two students (siblings) at the Jr/Sr High School have tested positive for COVID-19. The last day these students were in school was Friday, January 15, 2021. Based on the timeline and CDC guidelines, the Pa Department of Health (DOH) has stated that contact tracing does not need to be conducted with this situation. We appreciate this family keeping these students out of school as a precaution.
