The intent of this communication is to notify our school community of a recent Covid-19 situation involving a student within the district.

On April 21, 2021, we were notified of a student at the Towanda Jr/Sr High School who tested positive for COVID-19. The last day this individual was in school was Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Potential close contacts have been identified and informed to not return to school until approved to do so based on CDC and DOH quarantine guidelines.

On April 20, 2021, we were notified of a student at the Towanda Jr/Sr High School who tested positive for COVID-19. The last day this individual was in school was Monday, April 19, 2021. Potential close contacts have been identified and informed to not return to school until approved to do so based on CDC and DOH quarantine guidelines.

On April 13, 2021, we were notified of a student at the Towanda Elementary School who tested positive for COVID-19. The last day this individual was in school was Thursday, April 8, 2021. Potential close contacts have been identified and informed to not return to school until approved to do so based on CDC and DOH quarantine guidelines.

On April 9, 2021, we were notified of two student COVID-19 cases at the Jr/Sr High School. Both students were deemed “presumed positive,” and are members of the same family. The last day these individuals were in school was Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Potential close contacts have been identified and informed to not return to school until approved to do so based on CDC and DOH quarantine guidelines.

C&N Bank donates $22,000 for the Towanda Area School District Education Foundation through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. The funds are used for approved programs in the school including Science in Motion, Extended School Year, Holocaust-Student Learning and Gardening.
