In a normal school year, each December, the FBLA clubs from all of Region 27 travel to Keystone College for the Regional Leadership Conference to compete in a business-related test or event to try to qualify for states, a 3-day conference held in Hershey, PA. Unfortunately, due to COVID, all conferences were changed to virtual, and students were required to test from their school or home. However, the changes didn’t affect the Towanda FBLA members too much. For the first time ever, 17 out of 17 members placed in the Regional Leadership Conference, and 11 out of 17 members qualified for the state conference this spring. Students moving on to states will be testing in the hopes of qualifying for nationals, which was scheduled to be held in Anaheim, California in early July, but will, unfortunately, be virtual this year.
