Ryan Risch Inducted into "700 Club" Mrs. Rebecca Stanfield, principal of Towanda Junior/Senior High School, announced today that Ryan Risch has been named to the district’s “700 Club”. This club is designed to recognize students who score a 700 or more (out of 800) on at least one section of a College Board SAT test. This is a feat that only about five percent of the nation’s students attain. The average score on the SAT is about 500 per section. A Letter of Commendation from the school will be presented by the principal to this scholastically talented senior.
Senior Play This year's Senior Class Play, "Lucky Hudson & The 12th Street Gang" will be performed in the auditorium on Thursday, November 15th, Friday, November 16th, and Saturday November 17th at 7:00 P.M. each evening.
Important Message Due to continued rumors at the High School, we will be taking extra safety precautions at dismissal. All rumors have been looked into and found to be unsubstantiated at this time. All students will remain in their period 9 class until regular dismissal time with no open campus today. We will dismiss students in increments by building level floor. As previously stated, we will have extra police presence with us until the remainder of the day. Thank you for your patience during this difficult week. Once again, this is all precautionary.
Weekend Backpack Program Towanda Jr/Sr High School students help pack boxes at the Helping Hands Food Pantry for the Weekend Backpack Program for Towanda students. 215 students participate in the program that provides them with a backpack full of food for the weekend each week. Helping Hands is a non-profit and no students are turned away.
THS Keystone Exams Pennsylvania Keystone Exams will be administered to Towanda Junior/Senior High School students during the month of December. The Keystone Exams are end-of course assessments designed to evaluate proficiency in academic content areas. Students will be offered multiple opportunities to take the Keystones throughout their high school careers.
Wrestling Change The Towanda/Wyalusing wrestling match will be here - Wednesday, February 6th. Jr. High matches will start at 6 PM - JV and Varsity matches to follow.

Cole scored above 700 in the Reading/Writing section.
Towanda Wrestling Holding Food Drive Admission to Towanda’s Hall of Fame match against Tunkhannock on Thursday, December 20th beginning at 7 PM will be free for students and adults with a donation of one non-perishable food item.
School Spirit Events Attention all students & parents: This is a big week! On Friday, Towanda Black Knights will defend the Bronze Helmet! Each year Towanda and Wyalusing compete in a food drive! Not only does this help our community but also is a great display of who has the most school spirit! Bring in non-perishable, non-expired food items throughout this week and turn them into your homeroom teacher. The grade with the most items will win an ice cream party!!!
Fall Sports Awards The JV/Varsity Fall Sports Awards Program will be held on Thursday, November 29th @ 6 PM In the High School New Auditorium. There will be pizza in the cafeteria after the awards provided by The Booster Club.
