Our Hometown Hero
With all of the recent flooding, one student had the knowledge and courage to do the right thing when she saw something happen. Fourth grade student, Allison Chilson, called 911 to help a neighbor. Flood waters had swept away the home and the father and son were clinging to a tree calling for help. In a news interview, Allison credits her awareness and importance of her actions as having been learned at school during our programs. Towanda Area School District is extremely proud of her and presented her with a small token of gratitude for her life saving efforts at a recent School Board meeting. Black Knight Pride!
