Towanda V & JV Girls Soccer Preseason Practice

Preseason practice starts Monday August 17 . We will meet in the HS gym lobby at 7 AM to collect paperwork. Extra paperwork can be picked up in the HS office. You WILL NOT be allowed to practice until all the paperwork is completed. See attached preseason practice schedule.

Summer Academy

The summer academy program was created for at risk students to regain credits lost and/or to complete remaining graduation requirements for students in grades 9 – 12. The program is in its’ 5th year of operation. The goal is to keep students engaged in the educational curriculum and to explore options of college and careers upon high school graduation. The program also helps to improve the district’s School Performance Profile Score by increasing the graduation rate.

Towanda Junior High and JV/Varsity Volleyball Preseason Practice

Mandatory practice at the High School will begin on Monday, August 17th as follows:

Junior High – 8:00 – 10:00 am
JV & Varsity – 8:30 am to Noon

ALL PAPERWORK must be handed in before practice. Extra copies of paperwork are available in the office if needed.

National Speech and Debate Tournament

Towanda Jr/Sr High is pleased to announce that three of their students attended the National Speech and Debate Association Tournament in Dallas, Texas on June 14th – 20th. Caroline Vana and Blakely Watkins competed in the Dramatic Duo event and Tyler Sheets completed in Congressional Debate. In addition to their primary events the students also competed in Prose Reading, Poetry Reading and Storytelling and Impromptu.

Boys Soccer Preseason Schedule

Preseason practice for Boys Soccer starts Monday August 17 . We will meet at the stadium 7 AM to collect paperwork. Extra paperwork can be picked up in the HS office. You WILL NOT be allowed to practice until all the paperwork is completed. See attached preseason practice schedule.

7th Grade and New Student Orientation

Seventh grade and New Student Orientation will be held in the Towanda Junior/Senior High School Auditorium on Wednesday, August 19th at 6:00 P.M.

Towanda Varsity and JV Football Preseason Practice

Towanda Varsity and JV Football Mandatory Preseason practice begins August 10th at 7:30 AM. Players should report to the locker room no later than 7:25 AM. Equipment will be handed out at this time. Please be sure all paperwork including a valid physical form signed by a doctor and a check in the amount of $38.00 to cover the cost of preseason lunches is submitted by this time. Preseason schedules are available in the high school office during normal business hours. Contact Coach Jamie Wecker with any questions.

Jr. High Football Sign-Ups

Jr. High (7th & 8th) Football Sign-up meeting will be held on Thursday, July 30th at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria at the High School.
Parents and Players should attend.
Practice will start Monday, August 17th. Players should be in the New Gym Lobby at 2:00 PM with completed physicals and all other paperwork.
