Agencies that are involved with the summer program include but are not limited to: Bradford County Historical Museum, Bradford County Courthouse, Career Link, Lackawanna College, and District Magistrate Shaw’s Office. It also has a positive impact on the Towanda community as it encourages students to pursue postsecondary education or to contribute to the local workforce and economy.
This summer 12 students benefited from this program, with 4 students successfully completing all graduation requirements and received their diplomas. This program is funded through the Towanda Area School District Foundation Grant as well as money collected from Towanda Area School District employees during a dress down day.
Comments from the students involved demonstrate the benefits of this program. “I’ve learned so much self-respect and self-value”. “This program will not only allow me to graduate but it has taught me life lessons”.
We are pleased to announce the following students received their diplomas: Domenica Felicita, Micciah Littick, Cassandra Pozzi, and Liam Sutcliffe.
