THS 7th and 8th Grade Winter Wonderland Dance

Attention all 7th and 8th grade parents and students, this Friday, December 1st, is your Winter Wonderland Dance from 7-9 pm in the high school Old Gym. Tickets will be available to purchase during lunch and at the dance that evening. Don't miss out on the first dance of the year. Hope you can make it.

November Walk to School

The November Walk to School event had 93 walkers and the Beirne Webster VFW Ladies Auxiliary donated flags for the students to carry in honor of our Veterans. Coach Dawsey and the THS Football team led the way this month. Such great role models for our younger students.

Fall Sports Awards

Parents of JV and Varsity students who participated in a FALL sport please be advised that the Fall Sports Award program will be held on Tuesday, November 21st at 6:00 PM in the new auditorium. You are invited for pizza in the cafeteria after the awards provided by the Booster Club.

Towanda Junior Football C-Team

Towanda Junior Football C-Team

The Towanda Junior Football C-Team has finished their season with a phenomenal record and earned some great accomplishments. This team consists of many boys and girls from J. Andrew Morrow’s first and second grade classes. The C-Team won their game against Wyalusing which resulted in winning the Bronze Helmet Trophy. They finished the regular season undefeated at 7-0 without a single point scored against them. This resulted in becoming The Northern Tier Youth Football Divisional Champs and sent them to the Championship Game held at Mansfield University. In this game they defeated Cowanesque Valley with a score of 13-0 clenching the Northern Tier Youth Football League Championship and bringing home the trophy! Congratulations to all involved and looking forward to our football future! Go Black Knights!

Attention: Parents of Wrestlers

There will be an informational wrestling meeting on Wednesday, November 8th in the High School old auditorium at 6 PM.
This meeting is for parents of wrestlers in grades 7th through 12th.

National Honor Society Gives Back to Community

National Honor Society Gives Back to Community

On Saturday, October 7th National Honor Society students from Towanda Junior/Senior High School volunteered at the Monroeton Hose Company. About 20 students volunteered their Saturday to help paint the outside of the fire company. The students did a great job and had fun helping members of our community. The National Honor Society would like to thank the Monroeton Fire Company for the opportunity to perform community service and bring our organization closer together.

FInancial Aid Night October 19, 2017

The Towanda High School Guidance Office will co-sponsor a Financial Aid Information Night with Wyalusing and Northeast Bradford High Schools. The Financial Aid Night will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Wyalusing Junior/Senior High School Auditorium. Ms. Marla Kane, Regional Director for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), will be on hand to present information on the various programs within the Pennsylvania financial aid system. She will also give very specific information on the application process and the correct procedure for completing the online and paper forms for financial aid. The information will be for general purposes for any college. Ms. Kane has done numerous presentations of this type for guidance counselors and parents and comes with many good recommendations on the program she offers.

The program is free of charge and would be valuable for anyone who has a child planning on going to college in the next few years. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Guidance Office at 268-2059.
