District News

The Towanda Area School District currently has openings for their pre-school program. Parents of any child who is, or will be, 4 years old by September 1, 2018, and is a resident of the school district may call the Central Registration office at 570-268-2017 for further information on how to register. Parents can also access a registration packet and more information on the District’s website at www.tsd.k12.pa.us. Registrations will be taken until all openings are filled.

GTP summer interns worked at Towanda Jr/Sr High School as volunteers on Tuesday, June 26th to help weed and clean up outdoor planting areas. The District appreciates the help provided by the interns to groom the grounds around the high school.

Hannah Tavani and Whitney Madill, Towanda Area School District Forensics students presented to the School Board on Monday night. The students qualified to go to Forensics Nationals.

Mrs. Rebecca Stanfield, Principal of Towanda Junior/Senior High School, announced today that Hannah Tavani and Nathaniel Smith have been named as this year’s Rochester Institute of Technology Computing Medal Award winners.
