Towanda Area School District intends to return to regular school days and hours on August 27, for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. This survey is designed to provide feedback to the administration in preparation for all educational options for the upcoming year. Answering this survey with your initial preference does not lock your child into any particular option. This is a preliminary fact finding effort as we look for your opinion.

Parents/guardians please complete this form on behalf of your student(s). Questions should be directed to your child's building principal. Please understand that issues with the pandemic and social distancing may force us to educate in an alternative structure. However Towanda's intention is to return to regular school days and hours for the 2020-2021 school year.

Below are some very important directions/instructions that seniors and guests for the 2020 graduation to be held on June 2 at 6:00 pm in the Endless Mountain Sports Complex.

For all seniors:

Tuesday: All seniors must arrive no later than 5:00 pm. If not raining, please gather in the office parking lot. If raining, please gather in the new auditorium. (Sit in your seats labeled with your name) ALWAYS be sure to follow social distancing protocols, being at least 6 feet apart from each other and wear your class of 2020 mask provided to you.

Attire: Girls: Light colored dresses/etc shorter than your gown. White shoes, no heels.

Boys: Dark colored pants, dark shoes, dark socks. Collared shirt – tie is nice but not required.

Weather: If we get a shower, we will carry on. Wednesday looks much worse for weather than Tuesday so to postpone is really not an option.

With the school year coming to a close, it is time for us to collect the school’s electronic devices. The first option is to send the devices back on the school buses that deliver meals on Tuesday June 2nd. The second option is to drop off the devices at each school Monday June 8th and Tuesday June 9th between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. J. Andrew Morrow’s location will be outside of the main office, the elementary school location will be where parent drop off and pick up takes place, and the Jr/Sr High School location will be behind the school where the buses drop off and pick up. Any student needing to turn in textbooks can also turn in their textbooks at this time as well. Following these dates, the final option is to drop off the devices at each school’s office. Thanks for your help and understanding in getting these devices back.

Towanda Jr/Sr High School is pleased to announce that our 2020 graduation ceremony will now be held in the stadium. With Bradford County entering the Green Phase on Friday, May 29th, the opportunity exists to conduct graduation in this manner. Social distancing protocols will be followed and attendance will remain under 50% capacity. Although it will not be to the scale that it is normally held outdoors, we feel that this is the best option for our graduates and their families. With everything the Class of 2020 has sacrificed this year, we are thrilled to provide this opportunity for them. Here is some information on how the ceremony will be conducted.
