The Towanda Area School District Board of Education will meet for a work session for general purposes, in the Elementary School Board Room, on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 7:00 PM.

Every 3 years, the district updates its Comprehensive Plan, which lays out our goals for the coming years. Our goals are based on our Portrait of a Graduate, the knowledge, skills, and attitudes we want each of our graduates to possess as they receive their diploma.

The Towanda Area School District Board of Education will meet for a regular session for general purposes, in the Elementary School Board Room, on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 7:00 PM.

Towanda Area School District parents and guardians, please be advised that the opening of school will be delayed by 2 hours today, Friday, February 16, 2024. Your child should report to school between 9:45 AM and 10:00 AM. K 4 students will start school at 10:15 AM. Doors will be opened at 9:45 AM for students. Breakfast will not be available today.

TASD parents and guardians, please be advised that school will be dismissed early today between 11:50 AM and 12:10 PM. K-4 students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM. You are asked to follow building procedures if you are picking up your child.  All after school activities are cancelled.

Hello, this is Mr. Peachey. I want to provide a quick update. We will be proceeding with our school day after our 2-hour delay. We feel it is safe to proceed with school as we continue to investigate. We have arranged for additional security throughout the day through a partnership with local law enforcement agencies. We apologize for the inconvenience of the delay, but the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Once again, anyone with any information on this situation should contact their school principal.

Good Morning, this is Mr. Peachey. We are currently investigating a possible threat found at the Jr/Sr High School by one of our evening custodians. Out of an abundance of caution, we have delayed school for 2 hours to allow us time to continue our investigation and add extra security for the day. We want to make sure our students and staff are safe, and we are confident that school will resume following the delay. My goal is to be as transparent as possible with our families when these things occur. Anyone with any knowledge or information on this possible threat should reach out to their school principal. Any student absence today due to safety concerns will be excused.
