Due to updated guidance by the CDC, effective immediately, the Towanda Area School District will no longer require the wearing of masks on our school buses and vans.

Hannah Ryck and Samuel Tavani were named Rochester Institute of Technology Computing Medal Award winners for 2021. Dante Ottaviani and Arienne Strickland have been named Rochester Institute of Technology Innovations and Creativity Medal Award winners for 2021. These awards are given to one female and one male student during their junior year at participating high schools in recognition of outstanding achievement. These students have distinguished themselves academically, are active and involved members of their school and community and demonstrate interest and ability in arts, creativity, and computing. Each nominee will receive an $8,000 per year scholarship at RIT should they enroll in the fall following graduation from high school.

The 2022 PMEA District 8 Chorus Festival is set to be held on Friday, February 11th with the concert beginning at 7:00 PM in the Community Arts Center of Williamsport, PA. The one-day festival is being hosted by the Bradford-Sullivan County Music Educators Association. The festival this year features Dr. Kyle Zeuch as the guest conductor. Dr. Zeuch currently serves as the Director of Choral Activities at Lebanon College. Students participating in the festival will have the opportunity to advance to the regional level by audition.
Three Towanda Area Junior-Senior High School students were selected to participate in the festival. Senior class students Anna Glantz and Laura Davidson, as well as junior class student, Abigail Rice.
Special congratulations are for Abigail Rice, as she has made it into the All-State Jazz Festival.

Towanda Jr./Sr. High School faculty and staff provided Christmas meals to local families. This year we were able to provide 18 meals. This tradition is something the staff look forward to every year.
