2nd Grade Spends an Afternoon at the Olympics

Posted Date: 10/24/25 (8:48 AM)

The second graders at J. Andrew Morrow recently spent an afternoon of fun at the Olympics. They had been studying Ancient Greece as part of their CKLA knowledge lessons. As a culminating activity, each classroom represented a Greek city-state and took part in the ancient Olympics. The events included foot races, long jump, discus, javelin, and even chariot races. Each class rotated through the stations and they were even awarded medals at the end. It was a great way for students to experience what they had been learning about in their lessons.
