Hi! Thank you for visiting the Towanda Area School District's page! My name is Matt Johnson and I have been a teacher at Towanda since 2013. My first year of teaching was in 2012 in Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District in Charlotte, NC where I taught 1st/2nd grade writing, math, and science. I am currently a K4 teacher in the J. Andrew Morrow Primary School.
I grew up in Towanda and graduated in 2007 and played basketball and golf. I graduated from Mansfield University in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and am currently enrolled at Slippery Rock University to get my Master's in Education with a Reading Specialist and Instructional Coaching certification.
I am currently Vice President of the Towanda Youth Basketball Association and Head Coach of the Towanda Varsity Boys Basketball team. I also am an assistant to the Golf team.
