This year will be my 20th year teaching and my second year teaching sixth grade.  I am excited to be your teacher and love teaching this age group.  It’s going to be a year of hard work, new experiences, and some fun sprinkled in.  I get nervous and look forward to the beginning of each school year just like when I was a student.

I am married to Mr. Geurin, who is the high school health and phys. ed. teacher.  We have five children who range in age from 23 years old-5 years old (Nick, Nate, Bree, Chase, and Paige).  My kids’ activities take up most of my free time but some hobbies I do enjoy are shopping, biking, and running.

I have lived in Towanda for 17 years.  My husband, Mike and I moved here from the Poconos where we both taught previously.  We have lived many different places but now call Towanda home.

It is my mission to make all my students better, more effective communicators.  This is not just a school skill but a life skill.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  It is so important to keep communication open between my students and my students’ parents, and I welcome the opportunity to talk with you whenever you feel the need.  I look forward to a great year together!
