Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration

The Towanda Area School District will be holding Pre-Kindergarten (K-4) and Kindergarten (K-5) registration for all children entering school for the first time in the fall of 2017. All children registering must reside in the Towanda Area School District to be eligible for these programs. Registration will be held at the J. Andrew Morrow Primary School on Wednesday, June 14th and Thursday, June 15th by appointment. Parents may secure their appointed time when they pick up the registration packets at the J. Andrew Primary School office. They may also find the forms on the district website under the Parent Tab. Parents may also call the school to schedule their registration appointment at 570-265-4991. If your child is already attending the Pre-Kindergarten (K-4) program, you DO NOT need to register your child for the Kindergarten Program.

Family Bingo Night

J. Andrew Morrow Primary School in Towanda recently held a Family Bingo Night to promote reading and encourage a connection between the school and the students’ families. Students and their families were invited to attend this event where they played Bingo, and the winners of each game received a book. The Book Fair was open for people to browse and purchase books to expand their home libraries. Snacks and drinks were donated by the school’s PTO and the local branch of First Citizen’s Community Bank. Gift baskets were donated by teachers from each grade level for students to win for attending the event. The faculty at J. Andrew Morrow would like to thank everyone who was involved in the planning and preparation of the event, making sure that the evening ran smoothly; and especially those who came out to participate. It was a great success, and we look forward to future Family Nights at the school.
