Fantasy comes face to face with the hard reality of high school in this pop musical adventure where the best — and worst! — of both worlds meet.

As part of the yearly tradition, Wyalusing Area School District and Towanda Area School District went head to head during rivals week. Along with the football teams competing under the Friday night lights, the schools battled to see who could collect the most non-perishable food items to donate to local food pantries. While all schools in the districts participated, it was the Jr. / Sr. High Schools competing for the Bronze Helmet.

Mr. Dennis Peachey, Principal of Towanda Junior/Senior High School, has announced that Ariel Overdorff, Jordyn Russell-Mills, and Teddy Steele have been named to the district’s “700 Club”. This club is designed to recognize students who score a 700 or more (out of 800) on at least one section of a College Board SAT test. This is a feat that only about five percent of the nation’s students attain. The average score on the SAT is about 500 per section (reading, math, and writing). Ariel scored above 700 in both the Math and Reading/Writing section, Jordyn scored above 700 in the Reading/Writing section, and Teddy scored above 700 on the Biology subject section.
The students, staff and faculty of Towanda High School are proud of Ariel, Jordyn, and Teddy on their accomplishments.
