Mr. Ross is a local; he grew up in Canton, and now has a new teaching job here at Towanda High School. He graduated from Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, PA. Bloomsburg is roughly an hour away. Mr. Ross said, “My favorite classes were my teaching classes because it wasn’t just boring lectures. We would do a lot of different activities that were relevant to becoming a teacher.”
Mr. Ross was a student teacher at Pine Grove Area School District before he graduated from college. He had a hectic first day of teaching, as he was new and had to adjust to the bell schedule – which classes to be at (when and where), and such. He said, “Overall, I had a really great first day here and it went by really fast.” That’s a relief -- that we didn’t scare him off right away! Mr. Ross is a quiet person who opens up to people as he gets to know them, and as you get to know him, he’s outgoing and loves to try new things -- especially foods, but who doesn’t? So, give him a warm welcome to Towanda Area School District, and be mindful and respectful him. Oh - and he feels that vegetarians should be okay to eat animal crackers, depending on how dedicated they are.
Stay classy Towanda.
