Yearbook Students Donate Part of Their Childhood for the Future Generations

“Ah! I remember Goosebumps!” Darren Kravitz reminisced. Preparing for delivery, he rifled through one of the boxes of donated children’s books accumulated for a K-4 school that lost everything. Another remembered, “I remember my mom reading that to me at bedtime.” This was a recent scene at Towanda Jr. Sr. High School where students held a book drive to share with another school in need.
Due to the recent cold weather, a water main break devastated the Miles Township Elementary School’s library. Miles Township is located in Center County or “smack dab in the middle of our state” as some would say.
Miles Township’s call for help was quickly answered by the Towanda High School Yearbook staff. They organized a book drive and gathered over twenty boxes of books to help Miles Township students carry on their own love of reading. Those books filled the car of Scott Geesey, the Jostens’s Yearbook agent who asked for Towanda’s help with the loss.
