Students earn points and degrees based on competitive and service-related activities – ranging from the Degree of Merit with 25 or more points to the Degree of Premier Distinction with 1,500 or more points.
Because our program achieved 100 or more degrees last year, it has ranked among the top
10% of schools nationwide and earned membership in the League’s prestigious 100 Club.
This milestone is remarkable because it demonstrates outstanding commitment to teaching students essential life skills – including communication, research, listening, writing, and organization.
The hard work invested to achieve this distinction will pay dividends for years to come. We have encouraged our students to build upon this momentum to ensure that even more students are empowered to become effective communicators, ethical individuals, critical thinkers, and leaders in a democratic society.
The National Forensic League commends the leadership of our active speech and debate program. Congratulations to Mrs. Larnard- Newbury and our Forensic students!
